HELLO MY WONDERFUL HUMAN,
ALESSIA HERE.
Â
Initially, I wanted to call this blog Pillows and Plants because this is what I love… or let’s say that those who know me are aware of the number of pillows and cushions I like to have in the house and the never-satisfying amount of plants that I have to surround myself with.
But because this is a special place for me and nothing is ever too crazy to experiment with or share, I want to call it my Wonderland.
This is my little den away from anything business-related.
Let me explain...
MY STORY
Â
I am an artist at heart and in my bones. I am a professional ballerina and creator of Lazy Dancer Tips Youtube channel. Together with my husband we built a multiple six figure business a year and we now teach everything we’ve learned in Profitable Talents channel.
When I was a kid, dance was my den, my escape, my “leave me alone and let me dance” safe place.
I loved it so much that I pushed every fiber in my body to make it my profession. With ballet I traveled the world, met incredible people and learned about different cultures. The beauties and struggles of ballet made me who I am today and I will be eternally grateful for it.Â
Â
But let’s come back to this den…
Why am I sharing this side of me with you?
Because this is where I can be creative again, let my imagination run, and not think about anything business-related.Â
I have all this energy to create and help with my entertainment skills that I must release somewhere.
BEING AN ARTIST
Â
I started reading “Conscious Creativity” by Philippa Stanton (you can follow her on Instagram here @5ftinf).
She reminded me what it means to be an artist, to create and to have fun. It’s almost like I need to tap into this creativity more. Iacopo, my husband, calls it “buying more pillows”, but for me it’s a way to explore possibilities: to find Freedom again.
I’ve been so busy creating classes for Lazy Dancer Tips, finding topics for Profitable Talents, studying strategies and marketing, or reading anything that was useful for the business…that I forgot to take time to enjoy a hobby and let my hair out. I want to be “messy” at times and talk about what I like.
Did you know that I am also an interior designer?
I got my degree at the Open Polytechnic of NZ. I love getting into a room and redesigning it with my mind. Moving furniture around and playing with colors.
So I want to share with you what makes me happy, my girly routines, my attempts to find funky outfits and the crazy home ideas Iacopo has to put up with.
I'M NOT JUST SIMPLY ALESSIA.
Â
This is why I wanted a name for this blog that was cozy and crazy. I love crazy sophisticated, bold with lots of colors. I'm a Barbie girl, I love cats, plants and flowers but sometimes I feel a little more like Agnes the niece of Gru "despicable me" with her unicorn screaming: "It’s so fluffffyyyyy”. I'm a small blond woman who wants to be Wonder Woman in pink, driving a G-wagon or a big monster Truck because I want to be big.Â
I love designs like Kartell, Van Der Rohe and Persian rugs. Yes I have some cool pieces in my home too. I buy art that is “as colorful as me” and that reminds me of great adventures in places I lived in.Â
Everything I buy means something. Even my clothes. I'm constantly decluttering because I'm evolving and I want to make space for new adventures to come.
I’m glad you are here, it’s nice to have a friend as crazy as me, and not afraid to show his/her colors shining in the world.
Love
Alessia
